The majority of the pages in these two volumes show weaver's drafts. Such design types as harness twills, "harness sattins," plain weaves, twill warps, rib weaves, basket weaves, broken twills, derivative weaves, skipped twills, double satins, granite weaves, checked, double cloth, and weaves with a two warp systems are represented. Instructions for enlarging designs from a given motif are provided along with descriptions of the different weaves. The second volume also features amounts of yarn needed in a loom to produce weaves in various yardages. A few fabric samples are laid in. Also laid in are an analysis made by John Dolbraun determining the weave of a fabric for Eli Titherington & Sons and a few items with a billhead for the Titherington business.
